TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS

Full payment must be submitted on arrival.
Captain's meeting @ 8:45 am, sharp.
Tournaments are from 9 am - 6 pm. Match or time default rules are applicable.

Reverse Doubles - one of the opposite sex (see General Rules below)
Co-Ed 3's - minimum one woman (see General Rules below)
Rev. Co-Ed 4's - minimum two women (see General Rules below)
Subs are not allowed in any format!

REVERSE DOUBLES AND REVERSE CO-ED 4'S GENERAL RULES

  • SUBS for playoffs must have subbed at least 1 of the previous weeks

  • RALLY POINT scoring will be used

  • SERVES that touch the net are considered live

  • ROTATION of servers is required, not rotation of court positions

  • RECEPTION of hard-driven balls may be taken in a volley, all other receptions must be an overhand pass with hands touching
    a. NOT allowed to volley a serve or a non hard-driven ball

  • ATTACKS may be a hit, a roll or closed-hand
    a. NOT allowed to tip or block a 3rd ball over
    b. NOT allowed to contact the ball entirely on the opponents’ space

  • VOLLEYS over the net must be square from shoulders & feet

  • BLOCKS do not count as a hit
    a. NOT allowed to interfere before/during the 3rd hit by penetrating

  • Men may only do back row ATTACKS

  • Men may only BLOCK men this includes soft blocking

  • For men ON or IN FRONT of attack line on 3rd hit:
    a. NOT allowed to jump
    b. NOT allowed to hit ball downwards
    c. Ball must fully pass over opponents’ attack line

REVERSE CO-ED 4's GENERAL RULES

  1. Rally point scoring
  2. ‘Let’ serves are permitted
  3. Open-handed service reception permitted
  4. A block does not count as a hit
  5. Men may only block men
  6. For men, the VB must cross one line, besides the net, if one is inside the 3 meter line
  7. For women at the net, there must be a downward motion on the VB eg. Cobra, knuckles / wrist down … no beach dinks
  8. You may volley the ball over the net as long as your shoulders are square to where the VB is travelling
  9. Limit on court warm-up to 5 minutes for all timed league & tournament matches
  10. Record all scores after each match
  11. Only the on court Captain of the team may resolve dispute(s) with League Coordinator(s)

CO-ED 3's GENERAL RULES

  1. Rally points scoring will be used
